ForestERA tools and data are being used by an increasing number of stakeholder groups to plan and assess forest management actions at multiple scales in the southwestern United States.

Our first study area included nearly two million acres of mostly ponderosa pine forest from the Flagstaff area southeast along the western Mogollon Rim. Dubbed "WMPALA" for Western Mogollon Plateau Adaptive Landscape Assessment, the area is outlined in yellow in the map below. New study areas include the White Mountains Region (outlined in purple) and north-central New Mexico (outlined in red).
